XTELL's
previous work involved the development of the Ohio University Diabetes/Endocrine
Diseases Biorepository.
How
Does the Ohio University Biorepository Work?
- After
obtaining informed consent, blood samples are collected, labeled,
and transferred to the Biorepository
- At
the Biorepository, samples are processed, separated into fractions,
bar-coded, and then gradually frozen to -80 degrees Celsius
- The
biorepository has a sophisticated inventory management program
to track all specimens
- Finally,
the blood samples are linked to the patient medical record system,
Praxis®.
