About
XTELL
XTELL
was founded in 2001 to engage in development and implementation
of biological specimen storage and electronic medical records
software. XTELL stores, manages and processes biological specimens
for universities and scientific & pharmaceutical companies.
A large part of our success has been from collaborations with
Ohio University’s Diabetes Center in creating a biorepository
dedicated for fundamental and translational research in diabetes
and endocrine diseases. Samples include DNA, RNA, and protein
extracted from blood serum in patients living in areas of the
US which possess the highest prevalence of diabetes. XTELL has
developed one of the most advanced diabetes biorepositories
of its kind storing samples directly linked to the patient and
family medical history.
Anthony Schwartz is the founder and president of XTELL. He is
actively involved in the development of new cancer and diabetes
therapeutics and diagnostics. XTELL is based in Athens, Ohio
with clients throughout the mid-west.
XTELL has now launched the commercialized version of its biorepository
service targeting universities, scientific and pharmaceutical
companies. The need for biorepositories is greater than ever and
critical in understanding the molecular mechanisms of disease
and for the development of new therapeutics.
XTELL’s Principal Objectives:
Phase 1 -- To develop and implement EMR software
throughout the mid-west in collaboration with the Infor-Med
Corporation.
Phase 2 – Provide safe, secure and immediately
available biological samples storage for scientific and pharmaceutical
companies.
